Plumbing Repair DIY Tips
Prevent a Leaky Toilet
One of the most common problems your toilet can have is leaks. It’s no fun to walk into the bathroom after a long, restful sleep and step into a puddle of water! Your leaky nightmare can be prevented by checking the wax ring that seals the base of the toilet to the pipe in the floor. If the wax ring is loose or corroded, it can make your toilet leak. Replace it every 5-10 years.
Unclog Your Bathroom Sink
If you live with people with long hair, clogged drains may be a part of your daily existence. Some clogged drains can be harder to tackle than others. First, prevent hair from going down the drain with a perforated hair stopper. You’ll have to clean that out every day because it can get gross, but it will save you a lot of work. If your drain is already clogged, pour a few litres of boiling water and vinegar down the sink and that should do the trick!
